1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how DIGIIDS GLOBAL DIGITAL IDENTIFICATION INC. ("DIGIIDS," "we," "us," or "our"), a company located in British Columbia, Canada, collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the DigiPet mobile application and related services.
DigiPet helps users organize pet profiles, pet-health information, reminders, identification materials, generated documents, and user-controlled sharing features.
This Privacy Policy applies to the DigiPet application, related services, public pet profiles, and public pages provided through DigiPet.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate authority to provide personal information about another person, including co-owner, veterinary, or emergency-contact information.
Shared Access information
If Shared Access is used, we may collect and process information needed to operate that feature, including:
- Invitation information;
- Inviter and invitee information needed to send, validate, accept, revoke, or manage invitations;
- Membership and access relationships between users and shared workspaces;
- Access status information; and
- Records needed to remove, revoke, or leave Shared Access.
Sharing and document information
We collect settings and information needed to provide sharing, identification, and export features, including:
- QR and public-profile identifiers;
- Whether public-profile access is enabled;

If you use notification features, we may process:

Operational and security information
When you connect to DigiPet, our systems and hosting infrastructure may process limited technical information needed for service operation, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. This may include IP addresses, request timing, requested endpoints, response status, and similar server or rate-limiting information.
We do not use this statement to describe advertising tracking or behavioural analytics services that are not part of DigiPet's current implementation.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and protect user accounts;
- Verify email addresses when required;
- Provide password recovery;
- Display your optional personal profile photo on your own Profile screen;
- Provide and update pet profiles;
- Store and organize pet-health and care information;
- Display medications, vaccinations, veterinary visits, weights, schedules, and dose history;
- Generate reminders and to-do information;
- Register devices and attempt to deliver enabled notifications;
- Send transactional account communications, including password-reset messages, email-verification codes, and Shared Access invitations;
- Operate Shared Access, including invitations, acceptance, removal, and leaving Shared Access;
- Generate user-requested Pet ID documents, DigiPet Passport documents, Medical History PDFs, other pet documents, and exports;
- Generate Apple Wallet pet ID passes;
- Create and operate user-controlled QR codes and public pet profiles;
- Apply the sharing and visibility settings you select;
- Respond to support, privacy, and security requests;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate misuse, security incidents, and technical failures;
- Maintain and improve the reliability of DigiPet; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect our users, service, and legal rights.
We do not sell personal information.
4. QR Codes and Public Pet Profiles
DigiPet allows you to enable a public pet profile that can be reached through a QR code or public link. You control which supported pet, owner, and contact fields are made visible through the available QR visibility settings.
Private DigiPet account records are different from information you choose to make available through a public pet profile. When public sharing is enabled, anyone who possesses or receives the QR code or public link may be able to view the public information you selected. Do not enable or share information that you do not want made public.
You can change supported visibility settings or disable public-profile sharing. Disabling sharing prevents future access through the active DigiPet public-profile feature. However, we cannot control information that another person previously viewed, photographed, downloaded, printed, copied, or shared.
5. Documents, Exports, and Apple Wallet Passes
DigiPet can generate Pet ID documents, DigiPet Passport documents, Medical History PDFs, Apple Wallet pet ID passes, and other user-requested documents or exports using information from your account and pet records.
Pet ID documents, DigiPet Passport documents, Medical History PDFs, and Apple Wallet passes are generated on demand from information stored in DigiPet. DigiPet may retain limited authorization, security, status, or operational records needed to provide and protect these features, but exported or downloaded copies may exist outside DigiPet.
A downloaded, printed, shared, emailed, screenshotted, exported, or wallet-stored copy exists outside DigiPet's control. It may remain available after you update or delete information in DigiPet, remove Shared Access, leave Shared Access, or delete your account, and it may become outdated. You are responsible for reviewing the information before exporting or sharing it and for protecting copies stored on your devices, in Apple Wallet, in email, or with other people or services.
6. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate particular DigiPet functions. Current provider categories include:
- MongoDB or MongoDB Atlas, for hosting application database records;
- Cloudinary, for hosting pet photos and optional personal profile photos;
- Brevo or SMTP email infrastructure, for transactional account emails such as password-reset messages, email-verification codes, and Shared Access invitations;
- Expo push infrastructure and Apple push infrastructure, for device registration and push-notification delivery;
- Apple platform services, including Apple Wallet, when you request supported Apple features; and
- Cloudflare or static website hosting infrastructure, where applicable, for public website or public-page hosting.
These providers process information needed to deliver the relevant service. They do not necessarily receive every category of information described in this Privacy Policy. Their handling of information is also governed by their applicable terms, privacy practices, infrastructure, and retention processes.
We may replace a provider or change technical infrastructure as DigiPet evolves. If a change materially affects this Privacy Policy, we will update the policy.
7. Notifications
DigiPet includes notification features for matters such as medication schedules, vaccinations, and veterinary visits.
If you enable notifications, DigiPet may process notification preferences, device and push identifiers, permission status, scheduled notification information, and delivery metadata. Expo, Apple, and applicable device-platform infrastructure may also process information needed to route a notification to your device.
You can manage supported notification categories in DigiPet and can disable notification permission through your device settings. Removing permission or unregistering a device may prevent future push delivery to that device.
Notification delivery is not guaranteed. Delivery can be affected by device settings, operating-system restrictions, platform services, network availability, service availability, and whether notification processing is active.
8. Shared Access and User-Directed Sharing
If an account owner enables Shared Access, information from the owner's DigiPet workspace may be made available to the invited authorized DigiPet user.
A person with Shared Access may view or interact with shared information according to DigiPet permissions. This may include pet profile information, pet-health and care records, reminders, documents, and other information available within the shared workspace.
The owner may remove Shared Access, and the person with Shared Access may leave Shared Access. Removal or departure ends future private access to the shared workspace for that person, but it does not automatically remove copies of information that were previously downloaded, exported, emailed, screenshotted, printed, saved, added to Apple Wallet, or otherwise shared outside DigiPet.
Owner-directed Shared Access is a user-requested sharing feature. It is not a sale of personal information or advertising disclosure.
9. How We Share Information
We may disclose or make information available:
- To service providers described in this policy, as needed to provide their services;
- To an authorized DigiPet user when an owner enables Shared Access;
- Through a public pet profile when you enable public sharing and select information for display;
- In a Pet ID document, DigiPet Passport document, Medical History PDF, Apple Wallet pass, or other export when you request or share it;
- When you direct us or consent to the disclosure;
- When reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect security, or protect the rights and safety of users, DigiPet, or others;
- When required or permitted by applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request; or
- In connection with a proposed or completed corporate financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate handling of personal information.
We do not make private pet or account records public unless you use a sharing feature that makes selected information public, enable Shared Access for another authorized user, or otherwise direct us to share the information.
10. International Processing
Some service providers and technical infrastructure used by DigiPet may process or store information outside British Columbia or outside Canada, in jurisdictions where the provider operates its infrastructure.
Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We use providers to support specific service functions and take reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of the service and information involved.
11. Retention
We generally retain account, pet, pet-health, notification, Shared Access, and related application records while your account is active or for as long as reasonably needed to provide DigiPet.
We may also retain limited information where reasonably necessary to:
- Maintain security and service integrity;
- Investigate misuse or technical incidents;
- Resolve disputes;
- Enforce agreements; or
- Meet applicable legal obligations.
When applicable records are deleted, disabled, or revoked, temporary copies may remain for limited periods in backups, logs, or service-provider systems according to applicable operational and provider deletion processes.
Information that you or another person exported, printed, saved to Apple Wallet, copied from a public profile, received through Shared Access, or shared outside DigiPet is outside our control and may remain after the related DigiPet record is changed or deleted.
12. Account and Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your DigiPet account from Security & Privacy > Delete Account in the application. You must be signed in and provide your current password to confirm the request.
The account-deletion process removes, disables, or revokes applicable user account information and related application records as appropriate. This may include owned workspaces, associated pet records, health and care records, medication and dose records, weight records, notification preferences, device or push registrations, notification processing and delivery records, account memberships, Shared Access invitations, Wallet download tokens, sharing settings, and related active-service data.
DigiPet also attempts to delete hosted pet photos and your optional personal profile photo from Cloudinary when your User identity is deleted. Leaving Shared Access does not delete your personal profile photo. External storage cleanup failures do not prevent deletion of the DigiPet account and database records. Provider copies or backups may remain temporarily according to applicable provider processes.
PDFs, DigiPet Passport documents, Medical History PDFs, other generated documents, exports, and Apple Wallet passes are generated rather than persistently stored as separate completed documents by DigiPet. Copies previously downloaded, printed, shared, emailed, screenshotted, exported, or added to Apple Wallet will not automatically be removed from devices or third parties when you delete your account.
For deletion assistance, contact support@digiids.com.
13. Your Choices and Requests
Depending on the relevant feature, you can:

Privacy rights may vary according to the law applicable to you and the circumstances of the request. To make a privacy request, contact support@digiids.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to DigiPet's operation. These include authenticated account access, password hashing, authorization checks, email verification where required, and measures intended to protect communications and production configuration.
No internet transmission, device, database, or storage system can be guaranteed secure against all risks. You are responsible for protecting your password, device, email account, exported records, QR codes, and wallet passes.
Please contact support@digiids.com if you believe your DigiPet account or information may have been accessed without authorization.
15. Children's Privacy
DigiPet is intended for users age 13 and older. You may not create or use a DigiPet account if you are under 13.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through DigiPet, contact support@digiids.com so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
Age requirements and children's privacy obligations can differ between jurisdictions. A user must also satisfy any additional legal requirements applicable where the user lives.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as DigiPet, our service providers, or applicable requirements change. When we update the policy, we will post the revised version in DigiPet and at https://digiids.com/privacy-policy, and we will update the effective date. Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
